Does anyone know any resources for looking up grants for writers, specifically women writers? Is there a web page I am missing, a place that will list grants and/ or fellowships in the United States?

T, Poets & Writers updates grant listings on a bi-monthly basis, here. You might also check out the incredible grants from the A Room of Her Own Foundation--which switch from fiction to poetry every other year. Googling "grants for writers" is another option, and I'm pretty sure annual grants are listed in the back of Poets' Market (best, but also Writers' Market), which your public library probably owns. Good luck.

Well I do know how to work google and I am actually on the Room Of Ones Own Mailing list. I just always feel like I am missing something. The Minnesota State Arts Board is giving away money for writers this quarter. It is the only grand Spencer Reesce ever won so I’d be in good company. Thanks for the help Em.

I just stumbled across this -- don't know how helpful it may be:

My votes would go with The Poets' Market (book) and Poets & Writers (mag and site) for the most up-to-date info.

There's a mag called Grants & Awards Available To American Writers . It's published twice a year. You can get it at amazon.com
