Thank you for noticing
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): The feats you're pulling off may not appear spectacular to a casual observer. But in my view, they are some of the most interesting accomplishments you've enjoyed in a while. Here's a brief description of some of your subtly glorious breakthroughs: 1. You've made yourself less susceptible to being manipulated by guilt or pushed around by bullies or fooled by phonies. 2. You're getting smarter about how you treat the people and things you love. 3. You're at the peak of your ability to discern the difference between rash risks motivated by fear and smart gambles driven by authentic intuition.

Blar to spammers.
I found this on the Loft Mentor Series website and found it confusing:
Students in K-12 educational programs are not eligible for Jerome Foundation support. In general, individuals enrolled in undergraduate and graduate degree programs are not eligible, with one exception. If an artist enrolls in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or takes classes while maintaining a current and active professional practice of creating and presenting work to the public, she/he is eligible.
The Mentor Series can be time-intensive and it may be difficult to juggle its commitments with a full-time course load. However, if an applicant feels they can manage the time, and meets the criteria outlined by the Jerome Foundation, they are certainly welcome to apply.
Apply, Apply, Apply.
I will introduce to Jerod on Friday and you can talk to him after you apply but did I mention you should apply:)
I did. I sent it in yesterday. I think you are crazy because people that are way better than me (ah hem, YOU) are finalists and whatnot, but I think it was good for me to feel the routine of it. That's what I tell myself every time I send out a poem, etc. It's practice, silly, and if you get in, bonus!
PS: You going to the reading tomorrow night?
